Eleven young ladies will compete for the Miss Neshoba County Fair title on Monday night at the Grandstand.

The theme this year is “Girls Having Fun” paying tribute to “the girls’ talents, accomplishments, and beauty,” said Pageant Director Jennifer Bounds.

“I have 11 wonderful contestants and wish the best for all of them,” she said.

The pageant will include an opening number to Shania Twain’s “Man I Feel Like a Woman.” The contestants will compete in an interview, which takes place earlier in the day, with the opening number, Fair wear, and evening gowns. Contestants will also introduce themselves on stage and tell their favorite part of the Fair.”

“This is my third year as pageant director,” Bounds said. “I’ve always loved the pageant and had a front-row seat sitting at the judges table assisting them. I also have a wonderful group of assistants that help with planning, mock interviews and work back stage the night of the pageant.”
