A Union woman was arrested last Tuesday afternoon in connection with an alleged conspiracy to take a Kubota side-by-side and tools from a Bethsaida community home the previous week, the authorities said.

The woman, Heather Marie Roberts, 32, 3176 Little Rock County Line Road, Union, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and two counts of burglary of a dwelling.

Roberts remains in custody on $60,000 in bond for the three charges.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said Roberts was arrested on Tuesday, April 18, in the afternoon by Newton County officials and was brought into NCSO custody by about 3 p.m.

According to Clark, Roberts was wanted in connection with the Kubota side-by-side theft and several power and hand tools taken from a residence on Road 282. The burglary was reported on Wednesday, April 12.

The four other suspects arrested in connection with this burglary so far are:

• Christian Glen Cain, 19, 10331 Road 448, was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony on April 14. Clark said Cain also faces a warrant from Leake County.

• Zachary W. Keen, 21, 14370 Highway 15 south, was charged with two counts of burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony. According to jail records, Keen also has a warrant for contempt of court.

• Dexter Carter, 46, 524 Pleasant Valley Drive, was charged with possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a felony.

• Kenneth Spears, 43, 10301 Road 644, DeKalb, was charged with possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Jail records show all were arrested on Friday, April 14, except for Carter, who was arrested on the following Monday.

Several of the tools have been recovered over the course of the investigation and the side-by-side was recovered in Kemper County on Saturday, April 15, thanks to help from the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office, Clark said.
