Union man in custody following structure fire on Highway 21 south

A Neshoba County man remains in custody without bond after he was found at the scene of a structure fire in south Neshoba County.

Claude Kelso Fisackerly IV, 24, 10601 Highway 21 south, Union, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest on Friday around 12 p.m. He remains in the Neshoba County Jail and has been denied bond.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said deputies originally showed up to the scene of a structure fire on Highway 21 south reported Friday, Dec. 18. 

The structure was a shed or a barn that had a truck and a camper in or near it. Clark said that the structure and both vehicles were considered a total loss. 

Deputies found Fisackerly on scene and began to question him about the fire. 

Clark said he then entered a house on the property to get his identification and jumped out a back window and fled. 

Deputies later found Fisackerly walking along Highway 21 south. He was then brought in for further questioning and charged with resisting arrest.

It was determined Fisackerly was living in the camper.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
