Central Water Association
Central Water Association will have its annual “Meeting of Members” at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Central Water office located at 915 Valley View Drive. All members are welcome to attend.
Church revival
Church Homecoming/Revival. The First Church of God at 435 Columbus Avenue will be having a Homecoming service on Sunday, October 8 beginning at 10:45 AM. Rev. Jerry Germany will deliver the message. A fellowship meal will be served after the morning service. All former members are invited to attend. There will also be revival services on October 9-11 beginning at 6:30 PM. Rev. Haunted trail
Linwood Haunted Trail 2023. We will be open every weekend in October. $10 per person. We will open Friday night September 29th and run every Friday & Saturday from 7:30PM-until. On Sundays we will run from 7:30PM-10PM. We will run Halloween from 7:00PM-11PM. Address is 14281 Hwy 15 S, Union, MS 39365. All proceeds will go to the Shriner's Transportation Department.
143rd Bailey Family Reunion
The annual Bailey family reunion will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Sebastopol beginning at 11:00 AM.
Tree orders
The Neshoba County Soil and Water Conservation District will be taking tree orders through October 30th, 2023. Order forms are available from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the office or you can call 601-656-8783 Ext. 3 and we will e-mail or mail you an order form to you. The office is located at 511 East Lawn Drive in the USDA Building. The trees are bare root trees and will arrive in February 2024. If you have any questions, call 601-656-8783 Ext3.
Fishing club
The Neshoba County 4-H Fishing Club Interest Meeting will be held on November 6, 2023, at the Neshoba County Coliseum. This program will be available to youth ages 8-18. If you are interested in participating or need more information, please call the Neshoba County Extension Office at 601-656-4011 to RSVP.
School reunion
The Lynville School Reunion will be October 7, 2023 from 10:00 until…. Lunch will be as usual with a $10 cover charge, and plenty of time for reacquainting. Anyone that ever attended Lynville is encouraged to come, even if it was only one year. In order to plan for the event, we need to know by September 30 who will attend and the year of graduation or the class you were in. Please contact classmates and encourage them to attend. New County Line Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming services on Sunday, October 8, beginning at 10 AM. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited. The church is located on Highway 427, south of Edinburg.
Breast cancer awareness walk
The ”We Care” Organization will hold Breast Cancer Awareness Walk #2 on Saturday 10/7/2023 beginning at 10 AM around the Neshoba County Court House. The “We Care” message is To inform you that we care about those who have been diagnosed, those who have lost love ones, those who know someone, those who are being treated for this deadly disease. Our message is to encourage everyone to Be Aware, Be informed, Trust in God. And DO Something!!, Do Self Examination, See Your Doctor, Get Annual Mammogram. You are welcome to come walk wit us! Linwood VFD will have its Annual Board Meeting on October 10, 2023 at 6:30 pm. As with any of our monthly meetings, the community is welcome and encouraged to attend.

CPR training
The Neshoba County Extension Office will be hosting a CPR Training on October 26th at 2 p.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum. The cost per participant is $35. Please call the Extension Office at 601-656-4011 to register.
