A man on a motorcycle was arrested on drug charges after he was spotted littering on Highway 16 West near Choctaw Central High School.

The motorcycle rider, Andrew C. Holley, 30, of 10503 Road 541, Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with giving false ID information and possession of a controlled substance, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark. Holley also had warrants for contempt of court and failure to appear, Clark said.

According to Clark, a deputy encountered Holley on Highway 16 West on Friday, June 21, at about 4 p.m.

Upon noticing Holley’s motorcycle without a tag and his littering, the deputy initiated a traffic stop near Choctaw Central High School.

Holley initially gave the deputy false information, but the deputy recognized Holley and soon discovered he had contempt of court warrants, Clark said.

The deputy then gave Holley a pat down and found a large bag of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The bag contained about 14 grams of the substance and had an estimated value of about $250, Clark said.
