The Mississippi Lions All State Band is one of the premier marching and concert bands in the world. Each year over a hundred high school students from all over the state go through an extensive two- step audition process.

Avery Kate Holland, was one of eight flute/piccoloists to make the band. Lakynn Picket, Cole Freeman, and Katie Ward were selected for color guard. Students then go through a week-long camp at Pearl River Community College. Following the camp, the band went on a state tour and played concerts in Kosciusko and Oxford.

After the state tour, the band traveled to Washington, D.C., and marched in the 4th of July Parade! At the conclusion of the parade, the students enjoyed a concert and the fireworks display on the lawn of the White House. Congratulations!
