A beautiful summer evening, flowers, music, luscious food, white tents around a swimming pool and family and friends made the engagement party for Margaret Jordan and Sam Webb seem magical. The event was hosted by Jeremy and Dawn Lea Mars Chalmers at their lovely home in Cherry Level Place recently.  A large group of hostesses all contributed to making the first event for the couple a very special one.

The sound of happy voices and laughter floated through the night air as the guests wished the couple happiness and blessings. It was a memorable evening!

Parents of the bride are Dr. Joe Jordan and Cynthia Williams Jordan. Sam's parents are. John and Melody Webb of Oxford.

Philadelphia native, Greg Antonio Eiland, who was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks NFL team left on July 26 for Seattle where he will begin pursuing his dream of playing on an NFL team.

He will now wear a #75 jersey in place of the # 55 he wore in high school as a Tornado and at Mississippi State University as a Bulldog. His mother, Lesa Eiland, took him to the airport and watched him board his flight. Although she is so proud of him, it was not easy to see him leave again.   Philadelphia is also very proud of him. We send our best wishes to him for a safe, successful year.

The 2021 Neshoba County Fair seemed to be an outstanding one in spite of the high temperatures. Fairgoers went on with their fun as usual.  Missing the 2020 Fair seemed to make this year's Fair attendees appreciate it so much more.

It was a fabulous Fair for the Bobby Hardy family of Philadelphia. Their family was part of the program on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Madison Hardy Dennis helped open the Fair on Monday night. She has a lovely voice and sang the National Anthem to mark the opening.  She was accompanied by Burgin McClellan who signed the anthem using the American Sign Language.

On Tuesday night, Mike Hardy introduced his son, Hardy, who was the entertainment for the evening. He is a rising country music performer and songwriter who lives in Nashville. The grandstand and chairs in front were filled with an enthusiastic audience.

Not only were Bobby and Joyce's grandchildren from Nashville visiting, but their twin great grandchildren, Olivia and Levi Dennis¸ who came with their parents, Madison and Daniel Dennis, along with their grandparents, Mike and Sarah Hardy who also live in Nashville. It was such a fun time for the Hardy family this year. Bobby and Joyce are always so delighted to have their Nashville family visit. It is such a long distance from Philadelphia.
