The spacious veranda at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club was the site of a luncheon celebrating Mary Ellen Booker, PHS Class of 2021, on Saturday, May 1, 2021. It was a perfect day for an outdoor event.

Round tables covered with white cloths and centerpieces of colorful bouquets of spring flowers were arranged with a view of the golf club grounds. Each table setting was marked with a special keepsake menu with a miniature mortarboard and a white frosted cookie with "Class of 2021" written in pink icing anchoring the menus in place at the top.

A personal touch was one of Mary Ellen's senior pictures displayed on each table. All of the guests looked so pretty in their spring outfits. It was a very festive event.

Mary Ellen's guests were Emma Taylor, Emily Booker, Kara Daly, Mary Kate Moran, Markasta Dupree, Makayla Evens, Adriana Rush and Kaya Tucker. Hostesses for this delightful party were Gina Moorehead, Tammy Moore, Amy Johnston, Wendy Smith and Lee Ann Fulton.

Piles of bright red crawfish covered table tops, while other tables held a charcuterie of cheese, fruit, olives, cheesecake bites and mini cupcakes. The occasion was a Crawfish Boil honoring Macy Martin and Tanner Rhodes in the home of Jimmy and Susan Bates on Saturday, May 5. The evening was perfect for an outdoor party.

Josh Burton entertained the guests playing his guitar and singing. The evening ended with a game of Cornhole. It was a fun, casual gathering in a beautiful setting.

The party was given by Jimmy and Susan Bates, Johnny and Denise Crenshaw, Bud and Mandy Dees, Bobby and Joyce Hardy, Tommy and Pam McCool, Don and Evelyn Perry, Al and Kathy Posey, Bob and Lisa Posey, Rudy and Lisa Posey, Tim and Maria Sisson, Don and Susan Windham and Tanya Heath.

Ella Grace Robertson graduated from EC's School of Nursing with an 86 GPA. She had previously graduated from Surgical Tech Training, but decided that she really wanted to be a nurse. With encouragement from her grandparents and family, she applied and was accepted into nursing school.

After persevering through the pandemic and having to do online learning, she completed her courses and graduated. Her pinning ceremony was held on May 6, which was not open to the public. However, her parents, family and friends waited outside to congratulate her. Her proud parents are Lynda Gayle and Mike Robertson. Congratulations!

One of her special gifts was an apron made by Becky Young, the minister's wife. She makes an apron for each of the new brides at FUMC. What a thoughtful tradition!

Hostesses for the tea were Gina Moorehead, Kay Salter, Carrie Shrock Haggard and Kim Donald.
