Tiny Vivienne Fleming received the sacrament of baptism last Sunday during the worship service at First Methodist Church. This was her mother Abby Posey Fleming’s home church where she and her husband, Jarred, were married four years ago. Abby wanted to bring her daughter back here to be baptized among family and friends.

Her mother had safely stored the gown which had been worn by Abby and her siblings so the next generation could wear it at their baptism.

Abby and Jarred Fleming live in Opelika, Alabama, where he is the Opelika High School football coach and she is a teacher.  Her parents are Bob and Lisa Posey.

Students at Philadelphia High School and Elementary Schools were pleasantly surprised when they returned to classes after fall break. The cafeterias at both schools had been redecorated. The floors are now a cheerful black and white checkerboard tile pattern, walls are newly painted white.

The new tables have the word Tornadoes across them in red on the black tops or white on red tops with the "Tornadoes" emblem above the words. The attached stools in red and black provide seating for students. The high school also has booths across the side walls with red and black seats.

Ben is ONE! Precious Benjamin Cole Haefer celebrated his first birthday at his home in Vancouver, Washington with a "Party Animal" theme party! His mother, Anne Cassidy Haefer planned a perfect party for her son’s monumental day.

His grandparents, Eric and Ellen Whittle Prince, and his Aunt Rebecca and Uncle John David Oubre traveled from Mississippi to help him celebrate. Several of his little friends were also guests along with their mothers.

His birthday cake was topped with several animals including a giraffe and an elephant. The deck was decorated with inflated letters spelling out "Party Animal" with balloons adding a festive touch. Ben enjoyed eating some of his cake while sitting in his highchair wearing a gold party hat. He looked adorable! Ben’s parents are Matt and Anne Cassidy Prince Haefer.
