The Sadie Keller Foundation put a smile on Mary Mosley’s face last Tuesday. She had to come home from school because she was “chemo sick,” but she had a special delivery that afternoon!  It was a four-foot-tall, three-foot-wide box covered in various pictures of doll items and a special doll.

This foundation is amazing! They donate milestone gifts for children who are fighting cancer. Their mission is to put a smile on the faces of children fighting cancer, support families, and raise awareness about childhood cancer. It is a nonprofit organization and accepts donations. They have a website linktr.ee/sadiekellerfoundation if you wish to donate.

Rebecca Prince Oubre and Lauren Barnett coordinated and helped wherever needed during the activities. It was a fun experience for the students! Thank you to those who volunteered their time and assistance!

The ladies of Holy Cross met in the parish hall on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. Our very own Master Gardener, Marie McCall, presented an interesting and entertaining program about growing and using herbs along with container gardening. There was a fun activity with prizes and other ideas for growing plants.

Members brought beverages of their choice and finger foods to share with the group! A good time was had by everyone who attended. We also voted on a name for our group. We are officially called “The Ladies of the Cross” which seems most appropriate! Our next meeting will be on Oct. 25. Hope to see you all there!
