A Meridian man and three passengers in a traffic stop late Sunday afternoon on Road 492 were arrested on drug charges after 20 baggies of crystal methamphetamine “ready for distribution” were found in the vehicle, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

Johnny Mark Sublette, 54, of 3147 Officers Lake Road, Meridian, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Clark said

Sublette was the driver and was driving on a suspended license, Clark said. Sublette is also wanted on a warrant out of Lauderdale County.

Mason Howard, 29, of 2843 County Road 672, Quitman, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Christopher Dewey McGuire, Sr., 57, of 9119 Westwood Drive, Meridian, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Lindsey Arlette Rasbeery, 31, of 10450 Mayatt Road, Collinsville, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Clark said that the four were pulled over on Sunday, Oct. 23, around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Road 492 and Road 701.

The drugs were found when deputies discovered Sublette had a warrant for his arrest out of Lauderdale County. Upon asking him to exit the vehicle, Clark said, deputies found the first small bag of drugs in the vehicle. A subsequent search would produce about 20 bags of a substance believed to be crystal meth and $1,900 in cash.

Clark said the stories of each passenger did not match up with why they were in the vehicle with Sublette, though each passenger did mention something about going to one of the casinos, according to Clark.
