Brandon Alan Blount

Funeral services for Brandon Alan Blount were held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Jamie Lamoreaux and Brett Hilton officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Blount, 52, of Carthage died Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Brandon was born in Washington, DC. He was employed several years as a Jack-Up Boat Captain and at the time of his passing he was employed at Levi Straus. Mr. Blount attended Farmhaven Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda “Crystal” Blount; daughter, Katelyn DeMatteo (Dakota West); granddaughter, Alexi Burnette; father, Steve Blount; brother, Joshua Blount (Pamela).

Mr. Blount was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Blount; grandparents, Dencil and Imogene Blount and James and Marie Shively.
