The Boys and Girl Club of Neshoba County has a brand new home, and the community will have a chance to tour it this week on April 6.

Christi Miller, unit director of the Neshoba County Boys and Girls Club, said the club is moving to the Westside Community Center since they outgrew their old location, the Philadelphia Elementary School gymnasium.

“We’ve been in that space for the past seven years, and before we were confined to just one area,” Miller said. “Now, each age group will have their own space and everyone won’t be stuck in just one space. It’s best for everyone: more space and more things to do. We can call this place home.”

The open house is on Thursday, April 6 at noon. Refreshments such as finger food will be served.

Miller said she wants everyone to come out to see the new space, even if they are not in the Boys and Girls Club.

“It’s a good way to see what this club is all about,” Miller said. “The community can come out, look around and see the environment the children will be in. Thursday is the opening for the community, members of the board, and parents to come through and see it, and the kids will officially move in there on April 17.”

The Westside Community Center is located at  916 Carver Ave, Philadelphia, MS 39350.
