Man arrested with meth at stop
A Neshoba County man was arrested and charged with possession of meth during a traffic stop in town earlier this month.
The man, Joseph “Jojo” Robertson, 40, 10622 Road 763, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said deputies encountered Robertson as one of the passengers in a pickup truck they had pulled over on Myrtle Street behind Hardy Tire on Tuesday, April 2, at about 10:15 a.m.
Deputies identified those in the car and quickly discovered Robertson was wanted on two contempt of court warrants with the city, according to Clark.
A search of Robertson found a matchbox containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Robertson was taken into custody. The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for no seatbelt but was not arrested, Clark said.
