The First Methodist Church welcomed May with a churchwide Picnic at the Park on May 1, at Northside Park and Imagination Fun Station. Everyone was invited to come and bring a friend, a finger food, and a lawn chair. Hamburgers and hot dogs were served. It was a fun event with people enjoying visiting, children involved in the Fun Station, and some playing tug-of-war and other games.

There was a table for each child covered in a white cloth with a First Holy Communion memorial framed in gold and each child's name printed on it.
