The Union Lady Yellowjackets got started in division play last week and rolled to a 28-point win.

The Lady Yellowjackets had little trouble with Enterprise as they took a 49-21 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

The Union boys weren’t as fortunate as they lost 55-33 to the Bulldogs.

Union’s game with Forest on Tuesday was not played, and the Lady Yellowjackets got a forfeit win over the Lady Bearcats. The Union boys rescheduled their game with Forest to be played on Jan. 29.

Union will hit the road this week in the first of five straight road games. Union will travel to Southeast Lauderdale on Tuesday and will play at Morton on Friday.

Enterprise 21

The Lady Yellowjackets dominated early and cruised to a 28-point win over the Lady Bulldogs on Friday to open division play.

Union started fast as they outscored Enterprise 19-3 in the first and 7-3 in the second to lead 26-6 at the half. Union continued to pour it on as they outscored Enterprise 15-6 in the third to take a 41-12 lead into the fourth period. Enterprise took the fourth 9-8 for the final margin.

Kamiya Russell led Union with 17 points while Georgia Cooper had 11 points. Kataya Bishop had 6 points while Keirra Russell had 5 points.

The Bulldogs dominated the middle two periods and took a 22-point win over the Yellowjackets on Friday.

Enterprise led 10-7 at the end of the first and then outscored Union 16-6 in the second to lead 26-13 at the half. Enterprise then outscored Union 18-8 in the third for a 44-21 lead going to the fourth. Union took the fourth period 12-11.

Kameron Rushing and Mason Tucker each had 6 points apiece.
