The Union Yellow Jackets were beat 48-14 by Scott Central Friday night on a very humid night of football action.

The game started off with a bang for the Yellow Jackets. Xavier Boler took the opening kickoff 68 yards to the promised land. The two point conversion was successful to give Union an early lead.

However, the lead was short-lived for the Jackets. Thirty three seconds after the Jackets scored, the Rebels returned the favor. Antreyvious Edwards made a touchdown scoring run for the Rebels and he also ran in the two point conversion to tie the score at 8 at the 11:47 mark of the first quarter.

The next scoring play was at the 5:08 mark in the first quarter. Scott Central quarterback Austin Goss found his wide receiver Trey Edwards for a 48-yard scoring strike. Goss ran the quarterback keeper for the two point conversion.

The Rebels scored once again just before the end of the first quarter. This time Austin Goss unleashed another deep ball of 67 yards to Edwards.

At the 5:50 mark of the second quarter the Yellow Jackets would cut into the Rebels lead.

U’Darian Hickmon threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Ky’Yon Harris and the two point conversion failed to bring the score to 24-14.

The Rebels were not done with their scoring spree. Goss threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Javieon Butler. Edwards successfully completed the two point conversion. At half-time the score was 32-14.

The Rebels scoring ways continued in the second half. Goss ran for a 6-yard touchdown. Jermiah Hicks converted the two point conversion.

In the fourth quarter the Rebels would cap off their scoring barrage with a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Jhakyree Slack. The 2 point conversion by Goss was successful.
