A Louisiana woman faces multiple charges across multiple jurisdictions after a 60-mile police chase that began in Philadelphia last week.

Jordan Billiot, 35, of Franklin, Louisiana, has been arrested and charged with felony fleeing, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

“More charges are pending,” Det. Bobby Pattillo said.

The chase started in Philadelphia, went through Carthage and ended in Morton last Wednesday.

Pattillo said he knows Billiot faces charges in at least two other jurisdictions.

“She has holds for Leake County and the city of Carthage and will face charges in those jurisdictions as well,” Pattillo said.

On Wednesday, Nov. 24, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officer Fernellia Thomas initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle described as a light blue four-door Infiniti, Pattillo said. The driver then stopped the vehicle in front of Veer Wine and Spirits on East Main Street.

Pattillo said that as Thomas approached the vehicle, the driver sped off.

The driver ran several traffic lights and stop signs and made her way to Highway 16 west where other officers joined the pursuit.

The pursuit went through Carthage and onto Highway 25. The vehicle was finally stopped on South Boykin Street in Morton, Pattillo said.

Billiot was then identified and taken into custody.
