A Meridian mother was arrested and charged here Sunday morning after she was caught driving under the influence in felony possession of meth with two small children in the vehicle.

Sarah Shalese Davidson-Gibbons, 31, of 3832 Poplar Springs Drive, was arrested and charged on Sunday morning with felony possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment, DUI first offense, possession of paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license, Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said.

Deputies pulled Davidson-Gibbson over in the early morning hours of Sunday Jan. 17 on east Main Street. It was immediately noted that she had two small children in the vehicle, officials said.

Clark said that she failed a field sobriety test and was then found to have a felony amount of crystal meth and a meth pipe.

Clark said that she remains in the Neshoba County jail on a $22,900 bond.
