Willie Mae Richie Lott

Willie Mae Richie Lott, a woman of great gentility and unwavering love, passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 90.

She was born and reared in Philadelphia Mississippi moving to the Jackson area in 1954 to spend the remainder of her life. She was the backbone of our family, always there with a warm embrace and a comforting presence.

She is preceded in death by her youngest child David Richie Lott; parents, Emmitt and Ida Richie; brother, E. J. Richie; and sisters, Illene Gordon, Ruth Carter and Mildred Blocker.

She is survived by Jerry Lott, her husband of 71 years, brother Richard Richie; and her eldest child Thomas Craig Lott

Willie Mae was a dedicated office manager for the Rhone-Poulenc Chemical Company for the majority of her professional career. She was an avid tennis player, Senior Olympian and exercise enthusiast. Willie Mae was most at home conversing with groups of friends. Her infectious smile and cooperative spirit will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be at Parkway Funeral Home 1161 Highland Colony Parkway Ridgeland, MS., Thursday June 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 am immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church in her memory. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with our beloved mother."
