William “Billy” Gipson Smith

Funeral services for Mr. William “Billy” Gipson Smith was held at 3 PM Sunday, February 12, 2023 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Len Wedgeworth officiating. Cremation to follow. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith, 73, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at his residence. He has lived in Neshoba County most of his life. He was a respiratory therapist. His hobbies included hiking, cooking, back- packing, kayaking, reading and story telling. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Gipson William Smith and Bertie Alice Apperson Smith; brother, Dr. James K. Smith.

Survivors: Sister-in-law, Lois Adkins Smith of Meridian; Niece, Maria L. Smith of Jackson; Nephews, Philip Gipson Smith of Mobile, Dr. Stephen Keith Smith of Ridgeland and Dr. James Michael Smith of Tampa, FL.
