Wild hogs roaming the city
Wild hogs roaming Woodland Hills have evaded authorities for the better part of a month, according to Police Chief Eric Lyons.
The Philadelphia Police Department has received several calls reporting the hogs over the last two or three weeks.
“We’ve had several calls about those hogs,” Lyons said.
There are two in that area of town, to the best of his knowledge, he said.
On Sunday evening, Ben Hardy took to social media to report a sighting of the “now infamous wild hogs” while walking his dog on Azalea Street at about 8 p.m.
Lyons said no encounters resulting in injuries or damage have been reported. They are trying to trap and move the hogs.
“Animal control has been involved as well and has attempted to trap them with no success so far,” Lyons said.
