Warriors visit Pontotoc for postseason

The Choctaw Central Warriors will enter the Class 4A state football playoffs Friday night when they visit Pontotoc.
The Warriors’ only victory came over Northeast Lauderdale. However, they picked up another win when Kosciusko was forced to forfeit because of the COVID-19 pandemic which gave the Warriors two district wins.
Pontotoc comes in at 8-1 with its only loss coming to Desoto Central.
The Warriors closed out the regular season with a 29-13 loss to Leake Central.
Quarterback Eli Joe scored on an eight-yard run in the second quarter. That tied the game at 7-7 at the time, The Gators went on to lead 22-7 at the half.
Later, Joe scored on a nine-yard run by Joe. The try for two failed.
