Graveside services for Ms. Vernita Mae Thomas was held at 10 AM Friday, January 31, 2025 at Bogue Homa Community Cemetery with Bro. Jack Foster officiating. John E. Stephens Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Thomas, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. She enjoyed reading.
Ms. Thomas is preceded in death by her parents, Riley Thomas and Zona Nickey; sisters, Imogene Thompson and Bernice Frazier; brothers, Billy Wayne Thomas, Dorcey Thomas, Olen Thomas.
Survivors include sons, Gary Thomas and Greg Thomas; sisters, Marilyn Nickey and Berdie Steve; brother, Andrew Thomas.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
