A Union woman believed to be involved in a vehicle burglary was arrested after a traffic stop between Dixon and Neshoba last week.

Brianna Nicole Pierce, 25, 12961 Road 339, Union, was arrested on June 15 in a traffic stop and charged with burglary of a dwelling and possession of a controlled substance, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

She was pulled over near the intersection of Road 339 and Road 341 with a David H. Winstead, 42, of 201 Portis St., Union, who was also arrested for driving with a suspended license and on drug possession charges.

Winstead bonded out the following day on $10,000 in bond.

Pierce also was wanted in conjunction with Jerry Pittman, 37, of 958 Highway 15, Maben. The pair had been charged with the burglary of a camper on Road 802 in Neshoba County reported on June 7.

Pittman was arrested in an unrelated June 11 incident after deputies were informed of an attempted car burglary at the casinos and has since been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and the burglary of a motor vehicle committed on June 8 at the Pearl River Resort.

Pierce also had a bench warrant out for her arrest for failure to appear in court for a previous non-specified offense, officials said.

Pierce remained in the Neshoba County Detention Center Tuesday on $20,000 bond for the burglary charge but has been denied bond in the drug charge.

Clark said that anyone that has any information about crimes in the area is encouraged to please call Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office at 601-656-1414 or East Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 1-855-485-8477 (TIPS).
