Union only got in one game this past week and it wasn’t a pretty one.

Union dropped a 12-0 decision to Wayne Academy in the Stringer Tournament.

Union returns to action on Monday as they are scheduled to host Sebastopol before returning to division play. Union will host the Clarkdale Bulldogs on Tuesday and then play at Clarkdale on Friday.

The Yellowjackets managed only one hit as they dropped a five-inning, run-rule decision to the Jaguars on Monday at Stringer.

After a scoreless first inning, Wayne Academy scored three in the second, one in the third, three in the fourth and finished with five in the fifth. 

Wayne outhit Union 9-1 in the contest. Kaleb Casey had Union’s only hit.

Jacob Freeman started on the mound for Union and pitched three innings, giving up five runs on five hits and two walks. Kaleb Casey pitched the last two innings and gave up five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two.
