Tribe breaks ground on new housing project

Posted

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new housing project in the Bogue Chitto Community.

Tribal officials, along with project partners, gathered together to break ground on 25 new housing units for Tribal members who apply and qualify through the Choctaw Housing and Loan Program.

This is the first housing project in Tribal history to be funded entirely through Tribal revenues.
