The Philadelphia Tornadoes were road warriors this week as they picked up three big Division 6-2A wins. The Tornadoes beat Newton 69-62 on Monday and Union 69-41 on Tuesday. They finished the week with a 69-58 win over Scott Central on Friday.

The Lady Tornadoes weren’t as fortunate as they lost all three games, falling 68-46 to Newton, 47-37 to Union and 60-45 to Scott Central.

“I was proud of our guys,” Coach Willis Tullos said. “I thought they showed a lot this week by going on the road and getting three wins. Newton is a tough place to play and they are really good. Scott Central has gotten a lot better and is really athletic and Union is really experienced. I thought we played with a lot of energy this week and that’s what we have to do to win.”

Philadelphia will once again have three division games this week as thy host Union on Tuesday and Scott Central on Thursday in a makeup game. They will finish the regular season on Friday as they travel to Lake.
