The Philadelphia High School Tornado football team will forfeit its next two games after numerous players have come in close contact with a coach who tested positive for the coronavirus.

The quarantine involves almost half of the team. Any individual who is quarantined must stay home 14 days. Those students will be able to return Sept. 30, according to Superintendent Dr. Lisa Hull.

The Tornadoes will forfeit with Madison-Ridgeland Academy Friday and Kemper County next Friday.
