Tommy McMurry

Funeral services for Tommy McMurry were held Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2 p.m. from Pine Grove Church of God in Edinburg, MS with Bro. Jerry Germany officiating. Interment was held in White Oak Cemetery. McClain-Hays was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McMurry, 81, of Carthage passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Tommy was born and raised in the White Oak Community and attended Edinburg and Carthage schools. He was employed with U.S. Motors for 40 plus years and after retiring, he was a poultry farmer. Mr. McMurry was a long- time member of Pine Grove Church of God in Edinburg.

Survivors include his wife, Frances McMurry; daughter, Kristi Salers (Danny); sons, Tommy McMurry, Jr. (Robin) and Barry McMurry (Tammy); five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nell Chipley (Mike) and Hilda Lepard (Jimmie).

Mr. McMurry was preceded in death by parents, Leon and Ruby McMurry; sister, Joyce Coleman.
