Sylvia Long

Funeral services for Sylvia Long were held Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Cumberland and Bro. Chris Long officiating. Interment followed in Spring Creek Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Long, 65, of Philadelphia passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Sylvia was a native of Winston County and lived in Neshoba County. She worked for the Neshoba Central school system in the cafeteria for several years. Mrs. Long was a member of Longino Baptist Church and attended Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Randy Long; daughters, Candy Cumberland (Bobby), Sandy Long (Jordan Hancock) and Bridget Creekmore; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Christian and Diane McGee; a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Long was preceded in death by parents, Lamont and Audrey Nowell; grandson, Christopher Lane Bounds.
