Supervisors make board appointments
The Neshoba County Board of Supervisors reappointed two people to boards during their regular Monday meeting.
Ricky Goldman was reappointed as the District 1 member of the East Central Community College Board of Trustees, and Oliver Jolly was reappointed as the District 4 member of the Neshoba General Board of Trustees.
In other matters, supervisors voted to:
• Approve the hiring of Ansleigh Ramsey as administrative assistant for the Sheriff’s Department. Supervisors also approved paying $25 for an application for notary to the Secretary of State’s office;
• Accept the November meal log and detailed billing report from the County Jail. Supervisors approved the hiring of one correctional officer and the resignation of another;
• Approve the resignation of a Road Department employee. Supervisors also approved a temporary easement ROW work on County Road 16;
• Approve paying three invoices to Custom Paving for asphalt leveling work on County roads 571 and 832 during October and November – Inv # 2612 - $125,557, Inv # 2613 - $441,626, Inv # 2614 - $303,465. Supervisors also paid Crowder Engineering $87,065 for work on an off-system project;
• Approve a 16th Section residential Lease agreement between the Neshoba County School District and Timothy D. Edwards – T-11-N, R-13-E 7;
• Accep a FEMA 4598 PW 19 reimbursement payment totaling $2,333 for Emergency Management;
• Approve a request for $250 as show of support for the local Extension team at the Southwest District Livestock Show;
• Approve paying $210 for Election Commission training held at the Silver Star Jan. 24-26 and for meals;
• Approve the county employee payroll ending November 28, and totaling $213,755;
• Approve State Aid payment 50(14)S to J.C. Cheek Contractors Invoice - $391,298; and,
• Approve paying dues to the Mississippi Association of County Administrators & Comptrollers at $75 each for Guy Nowell, Rhonda Williamson and Jeff Mayo.
