Police are investigating three separate shooting incidents reported in the city last week and over the long weekend, two of which officials said may be related.

Philadelphia Police Det. Bobby Pattillo said the incidents occurred on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of last week. Only one incident reported injuries.

“The incidents from Wednesday and Friday may possibly be related,” Pattillo said.

Police have identified suspects though no arrests have been made or charges filed as of Tuesday morning.

“All cases are currently under investigation,” Pattillo said. “Suspects have been identified in each case and charges are pending.”

On Wednesday, May 26 at approximately 12:45 a.m. officers responded to shots fired in the area of Pinehurst Street.

Pattillo said a residence there had been struck by gunfire and that multiple shell casings were found.

On the following Friday, May 28 at approximately 9:45 p.m. shots were reported fired in the area of MLK and Chestnut streets.

A vehicle was discovered abandoned in the area with several bullet holes, Pattillo said.

“The driver had left the vehicle and went to Neshoba General where he was treated and released for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound,” Pattillo said, adding officials are not identifying the victim at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

On Saturday, May 29 at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Quick Stop at 299 West Beacon St. in reference to two suspects shooting at each other inside the store. No one was reported injured.
