Funeral services for Sherrell Moore were held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Mark Gill and Bro. Luke Wooten officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Moore, 70, of  Edinburg, died Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Sherrell was a native and lifelong resident of Edinburg in Leake County. He was a graduate of Edinburg High School in 1970. He worked and retired as a live haul manager from Peco Foods in Sebastopol. He married the love of his life Clara in 1973 and he loved his family and friends. He was an avid hunter, especially fox hunting and a fisherman. Mr. Moore was a member of Free Trade Church of God in Carthage.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Clara Moore of Edinburg; daughters, Cathy Jo Clark of Enterprise, Cristal James (Bobby) of Edinburg, Cindy Wooten (Luke) of Carthage; son, Chris Clark (Crystal) of Edinburg; grandchildren, Trevor and Travis Clark, Garrett and Avery Scott, Carsen and Colten James, Alyssa and Lawson Wooten; great-grandchild, Ryder Clark; brother, Keith Moore (Linda) and their son, Cody of Edinburg; a host of other nieces and nephews.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Winnie Pearl Moore.
