Sewer truck catches on fire at Deanco

Fire engulfed a sewer vacuum truck at a Holland Avenue business late last Monday, employees and fire officials said.

Tim Harrison, manager at Deanco Auction Co., 1042 Holland Avenue, said a sewer sucker truck caught fire in the business parking lot on Monday, Oct. 31.

Harrison said the vehicle was to be put up for auction and was a total loss in the fire late that afternoon. 

Fire officials responded and reported no injuries or further property damage outside of the truck.

Harrison said his staff believe the fire was a result of an electrical short in the fuel pump.
