School board seats up for grabs Tuesday

Two county School Board positions are on next Tuesday’s ballot along with the U.S. House of Representatives race.

The race for the Neshoba County School Board District 2 seat has four candidates. They are: Amanda L. Carter, Mary Ann Nicholson, Matthew R. Marshall and Jermaine Simmons. 

The seat is currently held by Davis Fulton, who is not seeking re-election.

Rhonda M. Holley is running unopposed for the District 1 seat currently held by Michelle Phillips, who is not seeking re-election.

All school board races are “nonpartisan.” 

At the top of the ballot is the race for Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District where incumbent U.S. Rep. Michael Guest will face Democrat challenger Shuwaski Young.

Seven other local races on the ballot have candidates running unopposed.
