Rupert "Sonny" Jenkins Jr.

Funeral Services for Rupert "Sonny" Jenkins Jr. were held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Tim Vowell and Bro. Corbin Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the Madden Community Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jenkins passed away on January 20, 2025 at his residence.

Sonny was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, MS. He attended Madden Schools and later went to work with the USDA as a poultry inspector. He was also a dedicated cattle farmer for the past 40 years.

Survivors include his son, Rupert K. Jenkins; grandchildren, Jamie, Josh and Sara; nine great grandchildren; sister, Alice Jane Gardner; and three nephews.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by wife, Linda Mott Jenkins; granddaughter, Sunny Jenkins, parents, Rupert and Jeffie Lee "Polly" Jenkins.

Pallbearers were, Jon Gardner, Jed Gardner, Josh Jenkins, Sutton Jenkins, and James Ivy.
