Roundup nets 4 drug arrests, more to come
A two-day roundup of alleged drug dealers netted four arrests late last week, with more arrests to come.
According to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark, those charged with at least one count of the sale of a controlled substance were:
• Gregory Scott Craft, 65, 11195 Highway 482 Lot 6.
• Michael Lee Goforth, 70, 5009 Pinecrest Drive.
• Gavin Jermaine Grady, 41, 10520 Road 747.
• Randall James Jenkins, 40, 10660 Road 2826.
Clark said the four men are all under investigation by the narcotics officers with the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office. Clark said all four have sold drugs to confidential informants.
Clark said Craft and Goforth were both arrested at the Neshoba County Courthouse on Thursday, May 1, after they showed up on unrelated business at about 9 a.m.
Clark said Jenkins was picked up when he reported to the Mississippi Department of Corrections office off Highway 16 East.
Goforth had three charges of sale of a controlled substance, and the other three men only had one. Clark said Goforth also had a bag of marijuana when he was arrested.
Clark said deputies found the drugs when they brought him into the Neshoba County Detention Center, and he picked up an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance within a correctional facility.
Deputies encountered Grady on his way to get a late breakfast on Friday, May 2, at about 11 a.m.
Clark said deputies arrested Grady when he pulled into the Huddle House on Beacon Street after recognizing his vehicle.
“These are four people who are on our list,” said Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark. “There should be more arrests to come.”
