Rotary Club Pancake Supper set for Oct. 21

The Philadelphia Rotary Club Pancake Supper is set for Monday, Oct. 21, and will again feature a drive-thru.

“I’m really excited for it,” said Tim Moore, president of the club. “We are going back to the drive-thru like we did during COVID and two years ago. Last year we tried to open it back up and do dine-in, but we saw that we sold more tickets doing it the drive-thru way.”

The Rotary Club expects to sell about 800 tickets this year and encourages everyone to come out and participate.

The Pancake Supper is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Building at Northside Park. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased from any Rotarian.

Each pancake plate comes with three to four pancakes, syrup, and Williamsville bacon.

As the club’s only fundraiser of the year, the Pancake Supper plays a fundamental role in supporting several community initiatives.

“It enables the club to support the community in many different ways,” Moore said. “We put a lot of our funds back into Northside Park. In the past, we’ve also supported Open Arms Inc., United Way, the Boys and Girls Club, Allies for Education, Diamond Dreams, and other organizations.”

This year’s proceeds will help fund new scoreboards for Northside Park through the Rotary Club’s partnership with the Park Commission.

“The Rotary Pancake Supper is an annual event benefitting the entire community,” Moore said. “We thank the community for their support in the past, and we look forward to their support in the future.”
