Rockets win two games on the diamond, improve to 11-3

The Neshoba Central baseball team won two of three games last week and entered this week with an 11-4 record.

The Rockets dropped a 10-0 decision to Brandon. They bounced back to beat Ridgeland 6-5 and Kosciusko 8-7.

The Rockets were to play at East Webster on Thursday and host Louisville on Saturday.

Brandon kept up a steady attack as they knocked of the Rockets.

The Bulldogs scored four in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth, one in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Jordan Davis went 2-for-3 to lead the Rockets. Jesse Hancock took the pitching loss.

Ridgeland 5

The Rockets took the lead and held on to beat Ridgeland.

Neshoba Central scored one in the first, one in the second, two in the fourth and two in the fifth. Ridgeland scored two in the third, one in the fifth and two in the sixth,

Will Williams had two hits, scored two runs and knocked in another. Bryceton Spencer hit a double and a single. He scored one run and knocked in another. Jordan Davis had two hits, scored a run and knocked in another.

Kosciusko 7

The Rockets scored in the seventh to take the win over Kosciusko.

Neshoba Central scored three in the first, one in the third,  one in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the seventh. The Whippets scored six in the second and one in the fifth.

Mason Whitehead picked up the win in relief. 

Reed Hall had three hits, scored two runs and knocked in two more. Will Williams and R.B. Hardin both hit a double, Jordan Davis hit a double and scored two runs.
