Rockets win three games to improve to 18-3

The Neshoba Central baseball team picked up three wins last week and improved their record to 18-3 on the season.

The Rockets took two games from Canton, winning 12-2 and 13-1. The Rockets closed out the week with a 4-3 win over Meridian.

Neshoba Central has three games scheduled for this week. They visit Ridgeland on Tuesday, Clinton on Thursday and host Choctaw County on Saturday.

Canton 2, 3

The Rockets kept up a steady attack as they knocked off Canton in game one.

The Rockets scored one in the first, two in the second, six in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth. Canton scored two in the fourth.

Bryceton Spencer was the winning pitcher. He had eight strikeouts.

Demarkez West his a double while Reid Hall hit a triple. Brayden Reynolds hit two singles and drove in two runs.

In game two, the Rockets scored six in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth. Canton’s run came in the fourth.

Luke Williams was the winning pitcher. He and Will Garner combined for a no hitter.

Creed Fulton went two-for-two. West hit a double, scored two runs and knocked in two more. Hall hit a triple.

Demarkez West hit a walk off triple to break a tie game and lift the Neshoba Central Rockets to a 4-3 win over Meridian.

The Rockets scored two in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the seventh. The Wildcats scored two in the second and one in the sixth.

Rhett Stovall took the win in relief.

Pepper Agent hit a double and Reid Hall had two hits.
