The Neshoba Central basketball teams split a pair of Region 3-5A games with Holmes County Central last Tuesday.

The Neshoba Central boys took a 66-64 victory over the Jaguars. The Lady Rockets lost a 61-56 decision to Holmes County. These were the only games played last week.

Neshoba Central will close the regular season out at home Friday when they host Cleveland Central in a big region game. The Rocket teams had been scheduled to play Columbus on that date but had to reschedule to get a game with Cleveland Central made up.

If the Rockets beat Cleveland, they will enter the Region 3-5A tournament as the No. 2 team. Canton will host the region tournament. The Rockets will likely play Cleveland Central again.
