Robert L Rogers passed away on May 2, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian at age 80. He was born on August 9, 1940 in Neshoba County as the only child of Floyd and Mattie Rogers. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Martha Rogers, son Wayne Rogers (Tammy) of Philadelphia, daughter Shelia Chalk (Barry) of Puckett, son Ricky Rogers of Philadelphia, daughter Amy Lindsey (Tony) of Brandon. Grandchildren Justin Chalk, Victoria Chalk, Ike Rogers, Rachel Rogers, Lacy Johnson, Alexis Lindsey, Kalem Rogers, and Cody Rogers, three great grandchildren with two on the way.

His favorite hobbies were fishing and telling jokes that made people laugh.

Work career: He started at Garen, then started Nemanco and then PGI Oil Exploration. He was a Borden milkman. He then started Mineral Research. He worked at McDaniel Timber Company. He built chicken houses and had lots of cows. He retired at 75 years old. This is just some of the many accomplishments from a very fulfilled life. He was a devoted family-man and Very Honorable Man.

John E. Stephens Chapel was in charge of the funeral at Rocky Hill Church of God on May 4, 2021.
