Retha Thrash

Graveside service for Retha Thrash was held Sunday, August, 23, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. from the Sandtown Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Hal Hall officiating.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thrash, 73, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, August 20, 2020, at University Medical Center in Jackson. 

She was a native and longtime resident of the Sandtown Community.  She was a retired caregiver and also worked in housekeeping at Neshoba General Hospital.  Mrs. Thrash was a member of Sandtown United Methodist Church and spent hours daily in prayer and listening to worship services on television.  She loved her activity group and staff at New Beginnings.

Survivors include sister, Paulette (Doc Mack) Fairchild of Philadelphia; brother, Troy (Katherine) Branning of Philadelphia; nieces and nephews, Crystal (Chuck) Fox of Philadelphia; Troy Branning II of Landover, MD, Chad Cannon of Springfield, MO, Derek (Heather) Cannon of Philadelphia, Anka (Spencer) Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Thrash was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Thrash; parents, Olen and Mary Branning.
