Rebecca McNair Stokes

Services were held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 6:00 from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Arthur Rhodes and Bro. Michael Wells officiating.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Stokes, 74, of Union, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

She was a native and longtime resident of the Linwood Community in Neshoba County.  A retired registered nurse, she formerly worked at Riley Hospital in Meridian, and later at Laird Hospital in Union.  She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Republican Women of Neshoba County.  Mrs. Stokes attended Crossway Community Church.

Survivors include son, Tim Watkins of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters, Ruth Conn, Sarah Peebles, Kay Vance, and Nancy Nicholson.

Preceding Mrs. Stokes in death were her husband, David Stokes; parents, Frank and Mary McNair; sister, Mary Rhodes; and brothers, Robert and Ray McNair.
