Prairie Chapel crowns King and Queen

On Sunday, May 29, Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church held the first Coronation of King and Queen.

The special guest speaker was Rev. Dayna Goff, the Meridian District Superintendent.

Rev. Goff said we are all called to service just as Jeremiah was called. We are “valued, chosen, set apart, and commissioned” when we accept the Lord’s call on our lives.

Rev. Michelle Dailey, Pastor of Prairie Chapel, crowned King Johnny Glenn Brazzle and Queen Ruby Hicks Jefferson during the fifth Sunday celebration.

Others participating in the coronation as candidates for King were: Andrew Jefferson, J.D. Stribling, and Rev. Murl Stribling. Those competing for Queen included: Martha Boler, Erma Clarke, Dominique Gee, Lillie Ray, and Deloris Stribling. Congratulations to all of the participants in this successful stewardship event.

Music was rendered by the Historic Mt. Zion UMC Choir. Lunch was served following the service. Pictured left to right are Rev. Michelle Dailey, Queen Ruby Hicks Jefferson, King Johnny Brazzle, and Rev. Dayna Goff.
