Four people have been arrested in connection with suspected credit card fraud following the death of a woman last month, according to Philadelphia police Chief Eric Lyons.

“All have been arrested and bond has been set on all four at this time,” Lyons said. “More arrests are expected in this case as the investigation continues.”

Mia J. Skinner, 31, of 266 Davis Street, was arrested and charged with one count of credit card fraud.

Darnell Garrett, 33, Johnathan K. Leach, 32, and Condrey Coleman, 38, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit credit card fraud.

On May 31, at approximately 9 a.m. officers responded to the 200 block of Davis Street where officers were advised of a possible deceased person.

Upon arrival officers and EMTs confirmed that a 55-year-old black female was deceased.

Upon investigation, officers learned that there were several people inside the residence at the time the death occurred.

“Foul play isn’t expected at this time but also not ruled out,” Lyons said.

Investigators learned that after the victim had died they suspect that the other occupants of the residence took the debit and credit cards of the victim and immediately went to different businesses using the stolen cards to purchase several items such as cell phones, shoes, and clothes.

Skinner was the first to be arrested on June 2. Lyons said that Garrett and Leach were arrested last week and that Coleman was brought in on Monday.
