Pitts enjoys eating homemade meals

Posted

Kala Pitts loves her children more than anything and cooking for them is something that truly brings her joy.

She and her husband Clifton Pitts have two daughters, Kenzie and Sarah, and they are always doing what they can to make their kids happy.

When Kala became a mom she realized how picky her kids were but also realized how picky her husband was.

“My kids are so picky I got to make sure there’s not tomatoes for Kenzie, make sure there’s plenty of vegetables for Sarah, and for Clifton I got to make sure there’s no onions because he absolutely hates onions!”  She said.

Her favorite meal is her mom’s homemade mac and cheese, Clifton loves her spaghetti, and Sarah likes her mom’s chili cheese pie.

Although her family is a bit picky she’s still found ways to make things that everyone will enjoy especially her desserts.

One of her favorite things to make is her Oreo balls which are loved by everyone in her family and for every holiday she’ll make around 150 Oreo balls so that there will be extra for everyone to take home!

Clifton and Kala met when they were both 17 and have been together ever since. “I’ve always loved how kind Clifton is he really is a true gentlemen and is the best dad, I’m so in love with him and the family we’ve created together.”

Clifton is a volunteer Fire Chief for DeKalb Fire Department and he’s a welder for Prime Line Inc. where he’s been for six years.

Kala is a PCS supervisor at New Beginnings. “I really do love my job and I’m always an advocate for my patients cause if I were in their position I’d want someone to stand up for me.”
