Philadelphia man faces marijuana possession charge

An early morning traffic stop on July 25 near the intersection of Highway 21S and County Road 365, led to the arrest of a Philadelphia man on drug charges, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

Darrion Burnside, 26, 10201 Road 2434 was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, expired license tag and a seat belt violation.

Clark said that the controlled substance is marijuana. Burnside was driving a Maroon Chevy Tahoe and was stopped at a safety checkpoint, he said.

Jail records show Burnside was brought in around 3:30 a.m. the morning of Sunday, July 25, and bonded out on $8,500 in bond lat er that afternoon.
