Parts of county blanketed with 4 inches of snow Monday

Madelyn Dean Clearman, 18 months, enjoyed her first snow on Monday. She is the daughter of Justin and Mandy Eakes Clearman.
A large part of Neshoba County, including the city of Philadelphia, received an estimated 3-4 inches of snow early Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The heaviest snowfall was north of a line along the city’s southern border west to the county line and east to Mississippi 495 north to the county line.
A minimum of 2 inches fell in the rest of the county. Schools closed and businesses delayed opening and power outages were reported in the county.
